This talk should be thought of as a very mild introduction to homogeneous vector bundles and flag manifolds. Homogeneous v.b. on flag manifolds have been studied using two fundamental equivalence of categories relating them to either representations of a parabolic subgroup or to finite dimensional representations of a given quiver with relation. The talk will be as basic as possible: I will first introduce you to homogeneous bundles, and then try to give an overview of the two equivalence of categories and what one can do with them. If time permits I will also show an easy and immediate application to simplicity of tangent bundles.
