Abstract
This talk will be a crash course in Gröbner Bases, explaining the motivation behind them, how to compute them, and some applications in other areas of mathematics and the real world. With time remaining, I will discuss the application of Gröbner bases in my students' summer research project as part of the PURE Math Program.
