Abstract
Charles Dodgson, also known as Lewis Carroll, contributed a curious method for calculating the determinant of a square matrix now known as Dodgson Condensation. This method will be demonstrated. A combinatorial proof from the paper "Bijective proofs for Schur function identities which imply Dodgson's condensation formula and Plucker relations" by Markus Fulmek and Michael Kleber will be given.
