Abstract
Fast techniques serve as an important tool to solve dierent partial differential equations. In this talk I will present some fast algorithms to solve Cauchy Riemann equation, Beltrami equation, Poisson equation and Bi-harmonic equation. The algorithms are based on the representation of the solution in terms of double integral, some recursive relations in Fourier space and fast Fourier transform. The numerical evaluation of the double integrals has been optimized giving an asymptotic operation count O(ln N) per point on the average. These algorithms has wide applicationsin fluid dynamics and solid mechanics and some of them will be discussedbriefy. No prior background is needed to attend this talk.
